Real-time tactics (also known as RTT) is a subgenre of tactical war video games played in real-time. These games are simulating the circumstances of operational warfare and various military tactics. RTT is differentiated from real-time strategy gameplay by the lack of resource management and base or unit building. Instead, it focuses on the importance of individual units and battlefield tactics. Unlike the typical RPG video games, RTT titles don’t have resource-gathering, production, or economic management elements in them.
