TBS (Turn-Base Strategy) game is a subgenre of strategy video games where players take their turns when playing. This is completely different from real-time strategy (RTS) where all players play the same game simultaneously. Turn based strategy is ideal for gamers with low APM (Action-Per-Minute rate) and more casual approach towards gaming. The first TBS video games were actually converted from historic board games. After their huge success, video game companies created their own franchises based on original concepts. That’s how the best TBS games of all time were born. With the advancement of the internet, video games started to evolve as well. One of the major changes was an introduction to the Multiplayer mode. In Multiplayer, more than one person can play in the same game environment at the same time. Before the internet era, video games were mostly Single Player activities, putting the player against preset challenges and AI-controlled opponents (which lacked the flexibility and unpredictability of human mind). Multiplayer games allow players to interact with each other in partnership, rivalry or competition, giving them a level of social communication absent in Single Player titles. Multiplayer games typically require players to share the resources of a single game system or use networking technology to play together over a greater distance. A video game franchise commonly associated with multiplayer is Counter-Strike. Massively Multiplayer Online games (also called MMOs) are a variation of multiplayer games in which a very large number of players can interact with one another within a virtual world. Batman is one of the most well-known comic book characters of all time.
